It becomes difficult to read a book, distinguish phone numbers or money in their hands, recognize the person they are looking at, or watch television.<\/p>\n<p>Macular degeneration usually occurs after the age of 50, but vision loss often occurs over the age of 60-65. The disorder makes the patient&#8217;s daily life very difficult.<\/p>\n<p>Advanced age, hypertension, genetic factors, smoking, a diet poor in antioxidants, and exposure to sunlight for a long time can lead to this disease.
